Each negative is carefully cleaned and scanned by hand with our high resolution transparency film scanners.

2000 dpi vs. 4000 dpi
2000 dpi – 2000 dpi (ppi) is great for on-screen viewing, archiving and making prints from your slides up to 5”x7”
4000 dpi – 4000 dpi (ppi) is great for archiving your slides and is extremely important if you plan on zooming in or making prints up to 10”x14”
Why should I scan at 12800 dpi?
12800dpi is our current highest scanning resolution and is best for two reasons:
1. Extreme Photo Enlargements. This will give you your common photo print clarity of 300 dpi (dots per inch) or digital large screen viewing at a size of 35 inches by 54 inches with minimal to no loss in clarity and quality.
2. Enlarge a small section of a negative. This option is perfect if there is a small section of a negative you would like blown up to a regular size photo with minimal to no loss in clarity and quality.

The Difference Between using AI and Personal Skill in Photo Restoraton.
While AI is becoming more prominent in self-editing photos, there will always be a sence of error in either detection, color, or overall results. While AI can do a great job in removing several pieces of dust, or imperfections, sometimes something like a button off a shirt, or a lapel pin, or a skin imperfection can be removed along with it. Color can also be wrongfully adjusted if the environment was meant to be a certain color of lighting.
We pride ourselves in our many years of knowledge, skill and hard work to put in the best quality photo restoration by hand. We carefully select and choose when automatic programs and AI would be best suitable for any other tasks that would otherwise be impossible to do manually.
